4
brothers of a farmer’s family have shown proficiency in Karate by
winning black belt.
Jayan, Biju, Shiju and Ajeesh of Nedumpurath, Parathode, Idukki
have achieved this rare distinction.
According
to their instructor Baby Mundan, this must be the first instance in India
where 4 brothers have achieved this distinction.
Eldest
brother Jayan started practicing in 1980 and donned black belt in 1985.
Now he is an instructor at Shaolin Martial Academy.
2nd
brother Biju gained expertise in Karate and Kung Fu and participated in
State level tournament.
He is currently instructing participants in Karate at various parts
of Idukki.
3rd
brother has first degree in Karate and Kung Fu.
He assists Biju in training young aspirants.
The
youngest brother, after donning black belt, is training students at
various parts of Wayanad district.
Their
instructor Baby of Shaolin Martial Academy is happy to have trained 4
brothers.
During the last 25 years, he has trainined innumerable persons,
many of whom are employed in Forest and Police Departments.
He
is now in the process of setting up an academy at Vanniapuram to train
young ones below 10 years.
