Malayali scientist Dr.Saji Abraham has won the NASA peer award this year for his outstanding contribution to the space project.

Dr.Abraham, a native of Adoor, had prepared a model of the galactic radiation in ionosphere for the Aqarius and Hydros satellites.

These satellites, which are to be launched into space in 2008, have been designed to study the salinity at the surface of seas and the water content in soil.

Dr.Saji has been a scientist in the microwave remote sensing field of the science projects of NASA for the past 7 years.
